Feathers and Checks :: Feathered Hem Top + Checkered Peplum Skirt

Feeling playful, I wanted you to enjoy the feathered hemline of this top and so worked on a monochrome palette for the whole outfit that it could stand out. Played on mixing texture and print to bring out the effect of the checkered peplum skirt but softening the look with the feathered top. Was extremely surprised to find this Burberry Prorsum inspired styled top in one of our local stores here in Hong Kong.

Burberry Prorsum Feather Hem Top

Have always been an accessories gal, so matched the outfit with a statement necklace ( recent birthday gift) and jewelled bangle and earrings.

Was dining at the Mira Moon hotel in Causeway Bay/ Wan Chai shopping district here in Hong Kong to check out their recent Suf N Turf menu and seeing the beautiful coloured mosaic murals and oriental influenced architectural walls - certainly was an opportunity not to be missed for some photo taking.

This funky hot listed hotel with many awards to its name - including that from Conde Nast traveller , was the perfect venue for a quick lunch before heading off for an afternoon of shopping - or a nice respite mid day to rest your weary "shopping"legs and enjoy a nice cuppa.

As we were leaving the hotel, I spotted these red designer high back chairs with designer side tables with a cane as it's stand. Unique and different - I had to finish off my last shots with a couple of pictures taken against this backdrop.

  1. hi simone! i love the feathers and flirty peplum. you look gorgeous! to answer your question on my blog about lace up shoes, i try to mix criss cross and wrapping around because if you only criss cross, it tends to slide off. also, you have to wrap fairly tight for the laces to stay put. hope all is well!
